The Company of Women IN THE COMPANY OF WOMEN, a feature length documentary, premiered at the Sundance Film Festival before it’s broadcast on the Independent Film Channel (IFC) in March, 2004. Celebrating women in independent film, the documentary focuses on innovative and diverse female directors, writers and actors who have challenged and transformed the portrayal of women on screen. From classic coming of age stories to explosive sexuality, IN THE COMPANY OF WOMEN explores women’s views, sensibilities and concerns on screen and behind the scenes, and chronicles the story of the women who have participated in filmmaking outside of conventional Hollywood limitations.
